Fundraising 100M from random people off social media might seem like a far-fetched reality to most Ugandans but celebrated local singer, Pius Mayanja a.k.a Pallaso, has dared to dream big and who knows, his risky venture might just handsomely pay off at the end of the campaign.

After getting inspiration from Nigerian heavyweight musician Adeleke Davido who requested fans to raise 100M to clear taxes for his Rolls Royce, Pallaso has also jumped on the challenge and begged Ugandans to show him love by donating money to the same tune to help him clear his brand new Range Rover Sport currently held at Uganda Revenue Authority warehouses.

When the self proclaimed sucker free boss kicked off his seemingly impossible challenge yesterday night, the low response from tweeps saw him receive only 58,000 in 8 hours but a recent update from the ‘Mpa Love’ hit maker this afternoon shows that contributions are slowly but surely trickling in.

According to Pallaso’s latest updates on twitter, fans have so far collected Shs1,701,631.

As a way of recognising those who have contributed to the cause, Pallaso posted screenshots of the monies so far received and encouraged those willing to donate to send more money to his registered lines.

”Mtn 1,600,263 shs is winning Airtel 101,368 shs. Let’s do this guys,” Pallaso posted.
