Azawi on cloud-9 as her African Music album hits one million plays on Apple music
African Music Album is taking Swangz Avenue star Azawi to places she has been and never been before. The 16-track album she and her record label released on this year’s Independence day has appeared on Time Square Billboards in New York City, US.
Azawi who started singing just two years ago is now the third Ugandan star to appear on the famous and prestigious Billboard! The other two are multi-award winning musician, Eddy Kenzo and NUP darling Bobi Wine. Unlike Bobi who appeared there because of politics, Kenzo and Azawi featured on the Billboard purely because of music.
Now as fans are still coming to terms with the fact that the fast rising singer appeared on the New York Times square early last month, Apple Music has also recognized Azawi for her African Music album for it has hit one million plays on their platform.
Feeling excited about the millstone, Azawi took to Instagram and thanked her fans for streaming the African Music Album and hence making her dreams come true.
