In less than 12 hours, Kenya’s 2022 presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, has lost crucial competitions twice.

First, as an Arsenal Football Club fan and secondly, in the just announced court decision in the recent Presidential polls.

Odinga, a sworn Arsenal fan, filed a case with the country’s Supreme Court to challenge the results of the presidential election held on 9th August 2022, in which his opponent, William Ruto, was declared the winner with 50.49% of the vote.

However, Kenya’s Supreme Court on Monday upheld the election of William Ruto as president “in a unanimous decision” as Chief Justice Martha Koome described the outcome, throwing out a petition brought by opposition leader Raila Odinga.
