On the 14 Jul 23 at around 1300 hrs, Nansimbe received a brother as a visitor and by the time Luutu came, he suspected him to be a lover to Amina. Misunderstandings between the two erupted. Nansimbe Amina notified a neighbor one Nantume Catherine about the same. Nansimbe went back into the house. Luutu is said to have locked the door, staging a fight.

According to eyewitnesses, Luutu used a metal in the room to stab Amina in the neck, left jaw and chest.

By the time the neighbor one Kambugu broke into the house for rescue, Nansimbe was already dead in a pool of blood and Luutu was lying next to the body of Nansimbe Amina unconsciously bleeding from the neck.

Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesman Patrick Onyango confirmed the incident.
