Anitah Fabiola has opened up about her emotional struggle with postpartum depression and anxiety following the birth of her twins with sweetheart Mark Mubiru in June.

In a heartfelt revelation, Fabiola shared that despite being a meticulous planner who had prepared extensively for motherhood, nothing could have fully equipped her for the mental and emotional challenges that came with welcoming her babies.

“I had made my research and read everything there’s to read about postpartum. I put systems in place before I went to give birth and I actually even had plenty of help, but still, postpartum depression hit me,” Fabiola disclosed.

The former TV star and entrepreneur described her recovery journey as long, painful, and emotionally draining, marked by moments of guilt, fear, and anxiety as she adjusted to her new role as a mother of two.

“I felt postpartum depression slowly creep up on me and I didn’t even know what to do to stop it. I had so much pain, the anxiety, and the weight of this whole new world in the beginning was really a lot,” she shared.

Fabiola’s openness has been widely praised online, with many mothers commending her for shedding light on a topic that’s often overlooked in Ugandan society. Her story is a powerful reminder that even with preparation and support, postpartum depression is real and recovery takes courage, time, and compassion.
