Baby Gloria has swapped the choir stage for the married-woman starter pack… and let’s just say nobody warned her about the daily mop marathons.

Just two months into her marriage to Jonas Mbaleka, the singer is giving fans an unfiltered peek into what life looks like after the vows, the cake, and the carefully choreographed dance moves. And according to Gloria, the real plot twist of marriage isn’t the romance, it’s the reality.

“Before marriage, I would just… leave.”
Appearing on a recent podcast, Gloria confessed that pre-marriage life came with an “escape button,” and she pressed it whenever things went south.
“When you’re just a girlfriend, you always have that escape plan,” she said. “You can leave today and come back tomorrow. But once that knot is tied, you’re not leaving because you’re annoyed. You’re in it for life.”

That mental shift, knowing there’s no “I’m done” text or conveniently timed silent treatment, has been her biggest adjustment. “I loved the freedom of knowing I could walk away,” she admitted. “But now I know this is forever. Marriage really forces you to make the right choices.”

The other unexpected twist? Domestic reality TV, starring her.
Gloria didn’t hold back when sharing her shock at the nitty-gritty of running a home. Forget music rehearsals; the new routine includes dishes that don’t wash themselves and a floor that apparently demands daily attention.

“I couldn’t believe I had to mop the house every day,” she laughed. “And I realised I can’t keep doing my nails all the time, they’re too expensive to mess up while wringing a rug.”

She’s now on TikTok, not for dance challenges, but for smart mops. High-tech mops. Marriage-saving mops.

“You just have to be a smart wife,” she said. “Because the dishes, the cooking… everything waits for you.”

From gospel prodigy to grown-up wife vibes, Gloria is discovering what the wedding speeches never mention: love is sweet, but the housekeeping? A whole different genre.
