The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) this week came under fire after a misprint on the UACE Economics Paper 2 labelled the year 2024 instead of 2025.
The paper that did rounds on social media raised concerns about its authenticity and Uneb’s lack of keenness in the printing and exam setting process.
Spokesperson Jennifer Kalule rushed to clarify that it was a typographical error, stressing that the paper was entirely new and all exams remain valid.

“The year was an error. The content is completely different from last year. We are reviewing our processes to ensure this does not happen again,” Kalule said.
Despite the reassurance, the misprint still left a social media storm, with netizens questioning how such an oversight could occur in a process known for strict checks.
UNEB spox says they directed all exam centers to inform candidates to proceed with the paper, insisting that no student will be affected by the misprint.
