Lil Pazo has weighed in on what it really takes to earn international music star status and according to him, hit songs alone won’t cut it.

Speaking during a TikTok Live session alongside fellow artist Bruno K, Lil Pazo applauded Joshua Baraka for his musical talent and for flying the Ugandan flag high beyond the country’s borders. However, when it comes to fashion, the “Morocco” hitmaker didn’t get a pass.
Lil Pazo boldly compared Baraka’s style to that of African heavyweights like Wizkid and Davido, noting that there’s still a noticeable gap.
“Can you compare Joshua Baraka’s fashion with Wizkid or Davido? International status doesn’t only come with good music; you have to have international fashion too,” Lil Pazo said.
According to him, personal branding, especially fashion, is a crucial ingredient in building a global music brand. While Baraka’s sound may already be crossing borders, Lil Pazo believes his image needs a serious upgrade to match the level of his music.

The comments have since sparked mixed reactions online. Some netizens agreed with Lil Pazo, arguing that image and presentation play a major role in the global entertainment industry. Others, however, questioned why Baraka’s fashion sense should even be up for debate when his music is already making waves.
