MC Kats has fired explosive allegations at Eddy Kenzo accusing them of corruption and the misuse of government funds

MC Kats has fired explosive allegations at Eddy Kenzo and the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), accusing them of corruption and the misuse of government funds meant to uplift struggling artists.

In a no-holds-barred outburst, Mc Kats, who admits he is currently battling serious financial hardship, claims that funds allocated to support creatives never reached their intended beneficiaries. Instead, he alleges, the money was shared among Kenzo and a tight inner circle.

The television host specifically disputes claims that UGX 10 million was given to him and UGX 15 million to fellow artist Fille, insisting that neither received a single shilling.

“When I say ‘protecting the gains,’ I don’t mean ignoring the pain,” Mc Kats wrote. “People are given government money to protect the gains but instead they take it for themselves. UNMF said they gave Fille 15 million and me 10 million, where did that money go?”

Now turning up the pressure, Mc Kats has called on government authorities to investigate and arrest Eddy Kenzo, demanding a full breakdown of how the funds were handled.

The accusations have reignited long-standing debates within Uganda’s creative circles about transparency, accountability, and trust in organizations tasked with managing public funds on behalf of artists.
