Azawi, the fierce queen from Swangz Avenue, has boldly taken aim at rising crooner Joshua Baraka, and she’s not holding back!

In a fiery interview Galaxy TV’s Rewind Team, Azawi didn’t just hint at dominance… she declared it.

“I can stage an event in a stadium and pull out the crowd. However, Joshua Baraka can’t do it outside Kampala.”

Yes, she said it, loud and clear.

The “Majje” hitmaker went even further, drawing a sharp line between city fame and nationwide influence. According to her, Baraka’s appeal is locked within Kampala’s urban bubble while she commands love from all corners of the country.

“He can never outperform me outside Kampala. I can do it in Mbale, Jinja, and wherever upcountry.”

From Mbale to Jinja, Azawi claims she’s the people’s champion, the artist who can pack venues anywhere, anytime.

Meanwhile, Baraka continues to shine on the international stage, earning praise for exporting Ugandan sound to the world. But Azawi isn’t impressed by global buzz alone, for her, real power lies in conquering the home crowd.

“Dominance across Uganda requires more than urban appeal.”
And in her eyes, that’s exactly where she has the upper hand.

So… who really runs Uganda?
Is Azawi the undisputed upcountry queen, or is Baraka quietly building a nationwide takeover?
