Kampala Metropolitan Police have conducted a series of operations across the city, leading to the arrest of several suspects linked to criminal activities.
In Nansana Municipality, Wakiso District, officers from Yesu Amala Police Station arrested Arinaitwe Moses (18) during patrols. He was found in possession of a panga, suspected to have been intended for use in criminal acts.
On 7th April 2026, patrols in Biwologoma, Good Shade, Clock Tower, and Arua Park led to the arrest of 43 suspects allegedly involved in criminal activities targeting members of the public. The suspects are currently held at CPS Kampala and are expected to be arraigned in court today.
Meanwhile, a suspected motorcycle phone snatcher was intercepted by CPS Kampala officers. The suspect, found with multiple smartphones, confessed to being part of a city-wide criminal racket.
In Najjera, Kira Municipality, a joint operation by Police and UPDF led to the arrest of three suspects linked to illegal marijuana cultivation and supply.
Additionally, operations in Kamwokya, conducted by Kira Road Police Division, resulted in the arrest of 35 suspects reportedly involved in criminal activities in known black spots.
In Kabalagala, police apprehended Emma Muteso, a wanted suspect linked to aggravated robbery and murder. Efforts to locate his accomplices are ongoing.
All arrested suspects remain in custody pending further investigations and court proceedings.
