Jose Chameleone has agreed to pay his estranged wife Daniella Atim $2,000 (approximately Shs7.5 million) every month in child support
Music Legend Jose Chameleone has agreed to pay his estranged wife Daniella Atim $2,000 (approximately Shs7.5 million) every month in child support as part of an ongoing divorce settlement.
The agreement was reached following months of court-ordered mediation presided over by Justice Jane Okuo Kajuga at the High Court.

However, the deal is not yet official. Justice Kajuga is still expected to approve and sign the consent agreement before it becomes legally binding.
Under the proposed settlement, Daniella Atim will retain custody of the couple’s five kids; Abba, Alpha, Amma, Alba, and Xara Mayanja while Chameleone will have visitation rights.
Sources close to the proceedings say the monthly payment is intended to cater for the children’s welfare, including education, healthcare, and general upkeep.
Despite settling the issue of child support and custody, the division of the couple’s marital property remains unresolved. The matter will now proceed to the Family Division of the High Court for determination.

The once-admired celebrity couple has lived separately for more than five years after Daniella relocated to the United States with the kids.
In her divorce petition, Atim accused the Leone Island boss of desertion, adultery, and cruelty, claiming the marriage had irretrievably broken down due to lack of love, care, and emotional support.
During the mediation sessions, Chameleone was represented by lawyer Roberts Friday Kagoro, while Atim’s legal team was led by Emmanuel Wamimbi.

The couple exchanged vows in June 2008 at St James Catholic Parish in Kampala in a glamorous wedding that attracted celebrities, politicians, and music fans from across the country.
Their separation and ongoing divorce proceedings have since become one of Uganda’s most talked-about celebrity breakups.
