Social media users across Uganda are expressing outrage after Tashi, baby mama of singer Biswanka, appeared in a disturbing viral TikTok video assaulting her own child.

The controversial clip, which was briefly shared on Tashi’s personal TikTok account before being deleted, shows the visibly frustrated mother slapping her months-old toddler after the baby reportedly soiled the last diaper she had at home.

In the now-viral footage, Tashi is heard angrily complaining that the child had “wasted” the final diaper she had kept and that she was unable to leave the house to buy more. As the shocking incident unfolded on camera, viewers were left disturbed by the infant’s reaction or lack thereof.

Many social media users noted that the baby neither cried nor resisted during the assault, prompting fears that the child could already be accustomed to repeated abuse at home.

The video quickly triggered massive backlash online, with thousands condemning Tashi’s actions and demanding immediate intervention from authorities.

Among the public figures who spoke out was Ugandan artist A Pass, who strongly condemned the incident and urged Tashi to stop projecting frustrations from her troubled relationship onto the innocent child.

“She should deal with her issues with the baby daddy instead of taking them out on the child,” one commenter wrote, echoing the sentiments of many angry followers.

The matter soon caught the attention of government officials, including Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi, the State Minister for Gender, Labour and Social Development in charge of Children and Youth Affairs.

Through his X account, Balaam shared the disturbing clip and called upon members of the public with information about Tashi’s whereabouts to immediately contact him or relevant authorities so the child could be rescued from the alleged abuse.

“This child must be protected,” several activists and child rights advocates emphasized as pressure mounted on authorities to intervene swiftly.

Meanwhile, Tashi has since deleted the controversial video from TikTok, but the outrage surrounding the incident continues to intensify online, with many Ugandans demanding accountability and psychological support for both the mother and child.

The condition and current whereabouts of the baby remain unclear as investigations and public concern continue to grow.
