Grace Nakimera says a man’s decision to request a DNA test shows he no longer trusts his partner or the family they have built together.
Singer Grace Nakimera has made it clear that she would never tolerate a partner asking for a DNA test to confirm the paternity of their kids, insisting that such a request signals a complete breakdown of trust and could instantly end their relationship.

Nakimera weighed in on the heated debate surrounding DNA testing following recent reports that only four out of 25 people who claimed to be kids of the late Ugandan music legend Paul Kafeero were confirmed through DNA testing to be his biological offspring. The revelations have sparked widespread online discussions, with some Ugandans even calling for mandatory DNA tests at birth.
Reacting to the debate, Nakimera said a man’s decision to request a DNA test shows he no longer trusts his partner or the family they have built together. She argued that even the slightest suspicion is enough to irreparably damage a relationship.
“I think my decisions are rational because if you aren’t sure of us being your family, even if your doubt is 1%, the day you do the DNA is when we separate,” she said.
The singer emphasized that her issue is not whether the children belong to the man, but why he would question her faithfulness in the first place. In her view, asking for a DNA test is an accusation that strikes at the foundation of a relationship.
Nakimera also expressed skepticism over the growing number of stories involving men discovering that children they raised are not biologically theirs. She admitted she finds some of the reported DNA test outcomes difficult to believe and warned that such tests can create unnecessary tension, tear families apart, and destroy homes.

Despite her strong stance, the singer ended on a lighter note, joking that if a man secretly carried out a DNA test without her ever finding out, she would rather remain in the dark than deal with the emotional fallout of knowing her partner doubted her fidelity.
