Speaking in an interview, Zari dismissed the endless chatter, revealing that while she did have a facelift, the viral clips painted a more dramatic picture because she was wearing heavy makeup that day.
According to the Ugandan socialite, the exaggerated makeup made the results appear more pronounced than they actually are. She maintained that she is happy with the outcome and has no regrets about investing in her appearance.
“They should leave my face alone. This is the face of money. Besides, the videos that went viral had a lot of makeup, which exaggerated my look. But as you can see, I only lifted a little bit, and I look nice. Regardless of the makeup, people should know that I’m still a beautiful woman,” she said.
Zari also expressed her frustration at becoming the internet’s latest topic of discussion, saying she finds it disappointing that strangers have been so invested in judging her personal choices. She made it clear that what she decides to do with her face is nobody else’s business, insisting that the criticism has been unnecessary and fueled by people who seem determined to pick apart every change in her appearance.
Despite the wave of criticism, the businesswoman remained unfazed, stressing that she paid a significant amount of money for the procedure because it made her feel good about herself, not to please the public.
This is not the first time Zari has been open about cosmetic enhancements. She previously disclosed that she underwent a tummy tuck to get rid of excess fat around her stomach, and she has consistently maintained that there is nothing wrong with improving one’s appearance as long as it is a personal decision.
