Role Purpose:

Responsible for performing all tests i.e. analytical, chemical or bacterial analysis and calibration of laboratory equipment necessary to raw milk as per the company policy/parameters/procedures

  • Perform all tests necessary to raw milk as per the company policy/parameters.
  • Be able to perform analytical test, chemical or bacterial analyses and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure testing of raw milk received from the BCCs/MCC/suppliers and receive or reject on basis of company parameters
  • Ensure punching of all quality results in SAP and release/block as per authorization.
  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly quality reports.
  • Perform quality checks on raw milk during storage throughout the day.
  • Ensures audit records are updated and complete.
  • Ensure to inspect CIP and cleaning of road tankers/silos/raw milk lines and conduct necessary tests to ensure it meets quality assurance standards.
  • Ensure to generate records on all operations during the shift i.e. raw milk reception and monitoring, cleaning and sanitizing, and any other information assigned.
  • Ensure to complete all work instructions, production log sheets, and sanitation log sheets accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure to comply with and follows established SOPs and SSOP’s for milk receiving efficiencies
  • Supervising quality operation in the shift and guidance to the team in the shift
  • To carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Job holder must possess bachelor’s degree in food science technology or its’ equivalent from a reputable University. However, a diploma in laboratory technology.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years working experience in the same field fast-moving consumer goods environment

Competencies/Abilities/Skills/Knowledge

  • Integrity
  • Self-motivated and result orientated
  • Good understanding of systems application programme (SAP) operations
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer science knowledge/skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and to multi-task.
  • Solid communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Positive attitude and reliable.
  • Training in food science is desirable
