JOB DETAILS:
(Promoting Equality in African Schools) is a social enterprise with a mission to expand access to sustainably delivered, quality secondary education across Africa. PEAS establish and operate affordable secondary schools in Uganda and Zambia in areas where access to quality secondary education is limited due to cost and geographical barriers. PEAS launched an ambitious strategy in 2021, aimed at expanding access to quality education, ensuring schools are sustainable, and investing in system strengthening.
With over 30 secondary schools in Uganda educating over 15,000 students, 55 staff at the Country Office, and 1,000 staff working in the network schools, PEAS intends to recruit for the following:

TEACHER
Subjects: ICT/MTC (01), AGRIC (01), BIO/CHEM (01), ECON/GEO (01)

Job Duration: 2 Years (contract renewable on policy compliance)
Location: PEAS BRIDGE HIGH SCHOOL - Katenga-Mitooma

Responsibilities for Teachers:
• Lesson planning and preparation, including creating and selecting learning materials.
• Delivery of lessons and assessing learning.
• Creating sufficient direct contact time with learners.
• Keeping up with ongoing professional development.
• Liaising with school administration and parents to support children's academic, psychosocial, spiritual, and social well-being.
• Supervising extracurricular activities.
• Attending all school meetings and trainings.
• Keeping records of learners’ achievements.

Qualifications for Teachers:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized University/Institution.
• Registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports with good discipline records.
