Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing, posting, and entering payment vouchers as well as adjustment vouchers.
- Reconciling control accounts and reporting any anomalies to the Senior Accountant.
- Responsible for the management of the University payroll.
- Reviewing of the monthly trial balances to ensure that all entries made into an organization’s general ledger are properly balanced.
- Providing training and supervision of all account’s personnel
- Ensuring the safety of documents relating to the office.
- In charge of managing the College budget.
- Carrying out routine bank reconciliations.
- Responsible for reconciling cash and petty cash floats.
- Any other official duty as may be assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Must have a full professional accounting qualification in ACCA, CPA or CIA.
- Must be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with bias in Accounting or Finance, or any other related Accounting and Finance Degree obtained from a recognized institution of higher learning.
- Should have at least three (3) years’ related work experience in a recognized institution.
- Must be a good team player.
- Knowledge of computer accounting packages like Pastel, SAP is a MUST.
- Must have a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Must be a mature and practicing Christian.
