Support administration of airfreight operations processes and activities to deliver flow of goods and information across the customer’s global supply chain. Engage proactively with customers and manage shipments against the customer or delivery expectation in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Engage with Customers under supervision for shipment information and incident/complaint management.
  • Check that correct costs and revenues are captured against customer’s profile and seek guidance to solve issues.
  • Perform administrative shipment level activities under supervision including receipt of customer booking, documentation requirements, and all related local and international transport.
  • Manage shipments under guidance in line with the customer service commitment.
  • Identify, gather and inform about exceptions/operational irregularities.
  • Understand, follow and support to improve shipment data quality.
  • Follow necessary regulatory compliance procedures relating to commodity and locations for their shipments.
  • Route and/or assign shipments to relevant consol and seek guidance where necessary, ensuring it meets our customers service commitment and maximized our profits.
  • Prepare invoices, and necessary back-up documentation ensuring customer invoice timeliness and accuracy.
  • Use available tools to monitor and highlight issues with performance.

Stakeholders

  • Support and interact with senior colleagues of own team, Global Service Centers, Customers and Suppliers.
  • Ensures understanding of customer requirements.
  • Develop a network of contacts to build up relationships and strengthen the organizational, product and market knowledge.
  • Address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships

Management Responsibility

  • Individual contributor without direct responsibility for leading others

Qualifications or requirements

Education Level

  • Vocational/Specialized/Technical/Certification

Experience needed

  • Less than 2 years
