Role Context
MediWorld Pharma Africa Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is critical in supporting the company's financial operations and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, ledgers, and reports.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with budget preparation and expense tracking.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company financial policies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation.
- Liaise with external auditors and suppliers as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Strong ethical standards and integrity in handling financial data.
