JOB DETAILS:
Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Review and analyze monthly financial and operational reports to enable management make the right decisions
• Participate in the budget development process and ensure that all projections are supported with the right assumptions
• Provide supervisory support to the accounting team ensuring that planned deliverables are met.
• Ensure that both internal and external auditors are well supported to do their work,
• Provide well informed tax advice to management with an objective of minimizing tax obligation and penalties payable within the confines of the law.
• Managing risks that may be involved in the financial activities of the business through strict enforcement of internal controls
• Effective communication of financial objectives and ensure that relevant stakeholders clearly understand them.
• Build the capacity of the team through training and coaching with an objective of ensuring that they deliver beyond set targets.
• Evaluate the financial performance of the company and provide accurate advice to relevant stakeholders periodically.
• Generate different financial models that inform management and the board of projected growth of the company.

Skills and Qualifications
• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Professional qualification in CPA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA
• 5 years of experience in a management position.
• Background in commodity trading is added advantage
• Financial modelling
• Be an analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in financial planning software such as Microsoft Excel
• The ability to work independently.
