For our group company, Ibero Uganda, we are looking for an Assistant Production Manager / Buyer.
The position will be based in Mbale and Mountain Elgon and reports directly to the Production/Station Manager.
Your responsibilities

  • Cherry and Parchment Procurement: Support the procurement of cherries from farmers, suppliers/traders and the FSU filed team.
  • Production & Processing: Assist in supervising the transformation of cherry to parchment at the washing station.
  • Logistics & Stock Movement : Coordinate transportation of parchment between facilities.
  • Labour & Resource Management : Assist in hiring and supervising casual labour at both sites.
  • Reporting & Compliance : Prepare and submit operational reports to the Manager.


Your profile

  • Proficient in English and any other local languages.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with parchment and cherry purchasing
  • Demonstrated ability to work in remote and rural environments; mobile and flexible to field-based operations.
