We are seeking a skilled and experienced Big Truck/Vehicle Mechanic with a strong background in hydraulic systems (Hydra) to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, with a special focus on hydraulic mechanisms, lifting systems, and related components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in heavy trucks and construction vehicles.
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot hydraulic systems including pumps, cylinders, hoses, valves, and controls.
- Perform preventive maintenance services according to manufacturer and company standards.
- Conduct road tests and functional tests on repaired vehicles and hydraulic components.
- Maintain service logs and repair records accurately and on time.
- Identify worn and damaged parts and replace them using proper tools and procedures.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and supervisors to ensure smooth operation of the fleet.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure accuracy in fault detection.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area, complying with safety standards.
- Provide technical advice and training to junior technicians when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Mechanics, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, or related field.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and hydraulic systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Hydra (hydraulic lifting systems), hydraulic arms, tipper trucks, cranes, and dumpers.
- Proficient in reading technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Skilled in using diagnostic and hand tools.
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
