Job Summary:
Bank of Africa Uganda is seeking a highly analytical and strategically minded Business Analyst to join our SME Banking division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by providing data-driven insights, identifying market opportunities, and supporting the development of innovative banking solutions tailored to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze SME banking portfolios to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and performance reports.
- Collaborate with relationship managers to design and refine SME products and services.
- Conduct market research to understand SME needs, competitive landscape, and industry dynamics.
- Support strategic planning and business case development for new initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend process improvements.
- Assist in credit risk assessment and portfolio monitoring for SME clients.
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, or CBAP) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, banking, or financial services, preferably with exposure to SME banking.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of the Ugandan banking sector and regulatory framework is a plus.
