A Business Analyst acts as the bridge between the client's business needs and the technical team. Their responsibilities would focus on understanding and defining how the system will work for the business users:

  • Requirements Gathering: Meeting with clients to understand, document, and analyze their business processes and challenges.
  • Process Mapping: Documenting "as-is" business processes and designing the improved "to-be" processes using the Business Central system.
  • Solution Design: Translating business requirements into functional specifications and user stories for the software developers to build.
  • System Configuration: Setting up and configuring the core Business Central application (e.g., setting up general ledger, inventory, or sales modules) without needing custom code.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Designing test scenarios and working with clients to ensure the implemented solution meets their requirements before go-live.
  • Training and Support: Creating training materials and conducting sessions to teach end-users how to use the new system effectively.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitating communication between project managers, developers, and clients to ensure alignment throughout the project.
