JOB DETAILS:
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Customer Service
- Welcome and assist walk-in customers, providing product advice and styling guidance on eyewear.
- Handle online inquiries, ensuring all messages are replied to within 30 minutes during business hours.
- Educate customers on lens options, frame durability, and eyewear care to improve customer confidence.
- Promote and upsell eyewear accessories (chains, cases, cleaners) alongside main purchases.
- Process sales via cash, mobile money, or card and issue receipts.
- Follow up with customers post-purchase to encourage repeat business.
2. Business Development & Marketing
- Identify and build partnerships with local opticians, influencers, and fashion stylists to boost referrals.
- Plan and execute online promotions, stories, and reels to highlight new arrivals and special offers.
- Develop collaborations with lifestyle events (e.g., fashion shows, pop-ups) to showcase eyewear.
- Research competitor activity and trends in the Ugandan eyewear market to advise management on opportunities.
- Expand customer database through lead collection (in-store + online) and nurture them through regular updates.
3. Store & Brand Presentation
- Ensure the shop is clean, well-lit, and visually appealing at all times.
- Arrange eyewear displays according to weekly merchandising guidelines.
- Monitor inventory of frames and accessories, reporting low-stock items for timely restocking.
- Create attractive visual merchandising for new arrivals and promotions to catch customer attention.
4. Relationship Management
- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock and accessories.
- Maintain excellent customer relations, handling inquiries and complaints professionally, and escalating to management where necessary.
- Build loyalty programs or small incentives (discounts for referrals, frequent buyers) to retain clients.
5. Reporting & Accountability
- Maintain daily sales logbook and submit weekly reports to management on sales performance and customer feedback.
- Track sales conversion rates (in-store walk-ins vs. purchases, online inquiries vs. conversions).
- Provide insights on best-selling products and customer preferences to guide purchasing decisions.
