Job Summary:

The Concierge (Male) serves as the guests’ primary point of contact for information, assistance, and local expertise. This role is responsible for enhancing the guest experience by providing personalized services, arranging transportation, and offering recommendations for local attractions.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Assistance: Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, assist with luggage, and escort them to their rooms.

Information Services: Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, local attractions, restaurants, and cultural sites.

Arrangement of Services: Organize transportation (taxis, car rentals), book tours, and make restaurant or event reservations for guests.

Errand Running: Assist guests with mailing letters, purchasing items, or other reasonable requests.

Lobby Presence: Maintain a professional and welcoming presence in the lobby, anticipating guest needs.

Security Awareness: Be vigilant and report any suspicious activity or security concerns to the Front Office Manager or Security team.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma (UACE) or a Certificate in Hospitality.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a front-facing role in a hotel, preferably as a Bellman, Doorman, or Concierge.

Skills:

  • Impeccable grooming and a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, welcoming personality.
  • Knowledge of Mbale and the surrounding Eastern Uganda region is a strong advantage.
  • Physically fit, as the role involves standing for long periods and handling guest luggage.
