Job Summary
The Concrete Pump Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of concrete pump trucks at construction sites.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate concrete pump truck in accordance with site plans and safety standards.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections and perform minor maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate with mixer truck drivers and site personnel to ensure proper timing and sequence of concrete pouring.
- Monitor pump pressure and concrete flow to avoid blockages, overflows, or equipment damage.
- Clean and maintain equipment after use.
- Keep accurate records of volumes pumped, start/stop times, and operational issues.
- Adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures.
- Be willing to work at multiple project sites and under various weather conditions.
Qualification, Skills, and Experience
- Certificate or formal training in concrete pump operations from a recognized institution.
- Valid heavy vehicle driver’s license
- At least 2–3 years of experience in operating concrete pumps in civil or construction projects.
- Knowledge of concrete mixes, pump operation, and site safety practices.
- Ability to perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance on the pump truck.
- Team player with good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong safety awareness and discipline.
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable.
