JOB DETAILS:
Position: Cost Accountant
Number of Positions: 01

Position Purpose:
Analyse and optimize financial performance through precise cost analysis, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.

Job Description
• Administer company costing system in ERP, ensuring integrity and accuracy of data at all times.
• Ensure pricing of company products in line with approved policies at all times.
• Assume ownership of controls governing inventory movement.
• Coordination of monthly, quarterly and annual stock counts, Work in Progress (WIP) valuation, reconciliation and investigation of variances for corrective action.
• Coordinate preparation of annual corporate budgets-origination to approval.
• Prepare variance analytics reports (annual vs budgeted performance) and follow up with budget owners.
• Liaise with line managers to find identity areas of wastage with recommended remedial measures.
• Prepare periodic management repprts.ie cost and margin analysis reports among others.
• Administer company product manufacturing module in the ERP.
• Ensure appropriate controls are observed in job opening, completion and closure processes.
• Monitor daily activities such as purchases to ensure costs are within approved budgets.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors in Business Administration-Finance, Bachelors in Commerce and ACCA or CPA.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in cost accounting.
• Knowledge of Inventory management.
• Familiarity with cost pricing analytics.
• Ability to perform factory analytics and track cost efficiencies.
