The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining data in company databases and systems. This role ensures that all records are kept current, organized, and error-free while adhering to confidentiality and data security policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry & Processing
Input and update data into spreadsheets, databases, and CRM systems.
Verify accuracy of data by comparing source documents with entered information.
Perform routine data cleaning and validation to ensure consistency.
Record Maintenance
Organize and maintain digital and physical files.
Retrieve and archive records as needed.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
Quality Control
Identify and correct data entry errors.
Report discrepancies to supervisors for resolution.
Follow up on missing or incomplete records.
Administrative Support
Assist with basic clerical tasks (scanning, filing, email correspondence).
Generate simple reports as requested.
Collaborate with other departments to verify data accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification in data entry is a plus).
1+ years of experience in data entry, clerical work, or a related field (fresh graduates may be considered).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic database software.
