JOB DETAILS:
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture; or Construction Management; or Civil Engineering plus a Masters Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University/ Institution. Applicants should be registered by the relevant professional bodies

Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years relevant working experience in the field of Public Administration and Management, three (3) of which should have been served at the level of Director, or Head of Department in Government or an equivalent level from a reputable organization.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Director, Engineering and Technical Service for performing the following duties:-

- Developing and monitoring implementation of the Authority’s building management and roads policies and procedures as per the Authority’s mandate;
- Reviewing and approving architectural and structural designs for the Authority’s buildings, in accordance with the Engineering best practices and National design standards;
- Coordinating construction and maintenance of the City’s buildings in line with the Authority’s building plans;
- Developing and implementing programs for routine and periodic building maintenance works throughout the Authority;
- Supervising implementation of building construction and maintenance, contracting works in accordance with the terms and conditions of contracts;
- Coordinating and controlling development and implementation of directorate operational plans, in accordance with the Authority’s strategic plans, policies and procedures;
- Managing performance and development of staff under his/her direct supervision in accordance with the Performance Management guidelines;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
