JOB ADVERTISEMENT: DEPUTY HEADTEACHER (Academics) AT A REPUTABLE PRIVATE PRIMARY SCHOOL - UGANDA)

Position: Deputy Headteacher (Academics)

Location: Mubende

Position Type: Full-time

Reports: Headteacher

Key Responsibilities

a) Curriculum Management: Implement the National Primary curriculum and early childhood education standards.

b) Staff Supervision: Manage teachers, oversee timetabling, and lead staff development.

c) Operations: Implement annual operating plans and foster a conducive learning environment; ensure the integrity of internal and external exams administration of supervision.

d) Parental Engagement: Increase and manage engagement between the school and parents.

e) External stakeholder Engagement: Increase and manage engagement between the school and its external stakeholders

Requirements

a) Qualifications: A Degree in Primary Education (with significant experience) from a recognized university /training institution

b) Experience: Minimum 15 years of teaching experience as a qualified primary school teacher, of which 8 years have been in a leadership position such as a Deputy Headteacher, Headteacher, or Director of Studies.

c) Must have a reputable track record of service

d) Registration: Must be e-registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports.

e) Skills: Strong leadership, computer literacy, and understanding of education policy.

f) Age: Minimum 40 years and above.
