JOB PURPOSE

To provide safe, efficient, and professional driving services for the Bank's staff and official visitors while ensuring the proper maintenance of assigned vehicles and adherence to transport and security protocols. The role supports the effective delivery of the Bank's operations and logistical functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive Bank staff, management, and official guests to various destinations as assigned.
  • Ensure timely and safe transportation in compliance with traffic laws and EADB transport policies '
  • Maintain a high standard of courtesy and professional conduct while on duty.

Vehicle Maintenance and Management

  • Perform routine checks on assigned vehicles to ensure road worthiness (fuel, oil, tires, brakes, lights).
  • Schedule and coordinate regular servicing and repairs with approved service providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle logbooks for all trips and fuel consumption.

Safety and Security

  • Ensure proper use and safekeeping of Bank vehicles and accessories.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of seat belts and safe driving practices.
  • Report any accidents, breakdowns, or incidents immediately to the supervisor and complete necessary documentation.

Support Services

  • Deliver and collect documents, mail, parcels, and other items as required.
  • Provide support during Bank events or logistics activities (e.g., airport pickups, workshops, conferences
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, or message delivery, when not on driving duty.

Requirements

May require irregular working hours, including evenings, weekends, or public holidays Requires alertness, physical stamina, and responsibility for passenger safety.

  • A-Level Certificate or equivalent is required.
  • Additional training in vehicle mechanics or logistics is an advantage Standard first aid training is an added advantage,
  • Valid driver's license with appropriate class and clean driving record.
  • Good command of the English language is a must.
  • Certification in defensive driving or advanced driver training is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional driving experience, preferably in an international or corporate organization.
  • Experience in handling executive transport, cross-border travel, or logistics duties is an advantage
  • Solid understanding of road safety and cross-border traffic regulations is required,
  • Safe driving practices and route planning
  • Basic vehicle maintenance and fault detection
  • Record keeping for vehicle logs and fuel use
  • Familiarity with local and regional traffic laws
  • Ability to follow schedules and instructions precisely
  • High level of integrity, responsibility, and discretion
  • Courteous, professional demeanor and appearance
  • Punctual, reliable, and flexible
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage confidential assignments
