Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Implement and maintain high quality culinary standards throughout the hotel restaurants and cafe
Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations regarding health and safety requirements
Maintaining and establishing relationships with service providers to ensure product quality
Work together with management to curate innovative and sensational dishes/menus taking into account factors such as seasonal availability, number of customers, special functions etc.
Handle and teach preparation and other culinary skills in line with well-defined recipes
Consistently monitor and improve the establishment’s kitchen and its culinary services
Managing and leading the kitchen team, planning menus , handling staff trainings and monitoring food control plans closely.
Monitoring and controlling kitchen costs and stock levels to maximise profitability
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Culinary school diploma/qualification preferred
A minimum of 4 years experience in the culinary field with experience as Head chef or Kitchen manager in active establishments
Remain up to date with the evolving aspects of the culinary world and making positive contributions to the establishments kitchen
Ability to lead, motivate and train a working team
Fluency in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
Good understanding of MS Office and Restaurant management softwares, POS systems
