On behalf of our client that specializes in Electronics and Appliances, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Short-Form Video Content Manager to work in Kampala.
Roles and Responsibilities
Production Coordination: Responsible for the overall short video content production for the company’s accounts (Douyin/Kuaishou/Bilibili/WeChat Official Accounts), including topic selection and planning, scriptwriting, on-site shooting coordination, and post-production editing guidance, ensuring the quality of the final product.
Account Operation: Develop content iteration strategies based on platform trends and user profiles, analyze backend data (completion rate, interaction rate, follower growth), and improve account exposure and follower engagement through content optimization.
Team Management: Lead the directing, shooting, and editing teams, allocate tasks reasonably, control project progress, and be responsible for team member skills training and performance evaluation.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Cooperate with marketing, e-commerce, or brand departments to complete the production of product promotion videos and brand advertising videos, ensuring that video content aligns with brand tone and conversion goals.
Equipment and Cost Control: Manage photography equipment, lighting equipment, and props, control the production cost per video, and improve efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Hard Skills: Proficient in using mainstream shooting equipment (Sony/A7M4/FX3, etc.) and lighting/set design; skilled in post-production software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut Pro; understands audiovisual language.
Experience: 3+ years of short video production experience, at least 1+ years of team management experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience successfully incubating accounts with [e.g., 100,000/500,000/1,000,000 followers].
Online Sensitivity: A seasoned internet user, sensitive to trending topics, familiar with platform recommendation mechanisms, and able to extract the logic behind viral content from massive amounts of material.
Overall Qualities: Strong stress resistance, able to adapt to a fast-paced production schedule (e.g., daily or 3 videos per week), possesses excellent communication and coordination skills and aesthetic sense.
