JOB DETAILS:
Background
Founded in 2006, Building Tomorrow (BT) improves access to child-friendly, community-supported schools by providing an inclusive, transformative education for underserved children. Building Tomorrow Fellows are leaders in BT’s Thriving Schools program, serving as change agents who recruit and train Community Education Volunteers, coordinate (re)enrollment of out-of-school children in school, and partner with school and community leadership to ensure access to an inclusive, transformative education for all children. Fellows work hand-in-hand with local leaders to build communities invested in education and human development. To date, BT has enrolled over 55,000 out-of-school children, and reaches over 140,000 students daily.
We are looking for 100 ambitious and creative leaders to help us transform education in Uganda. Are you a University graduate aspiring to confront “wicked” problems and create a long-lasting social impact that reshapes the lives of thousands of Ugandans? The Building Tomorrow Fellowship is a highly selective, two-year, hands-on professional development experience giving young leaders the opportunity to practice and hone skills in leadership, advocacy, management, communications, data management & analysis, and project design & management. On successful completion of the Fellowship, Fellows join a dynamic, creative, and driven cadre of alumni who collaborate with and inspire one another to build careers and organizations that change the world.
