Role Overview

The Field Sales Representative will be responsible for the sales, delivery, and merchandising of fast-moving consumer goods to retail outlets in Kampala and nearby regions. The role requires frequent field activity, visiting outlets such as supermarkets, pharmacies, and beauty shops, using a tricycle as the primary mode of transport.

The successful candidate will be customer-focused, digitally skilled, and performance-driven, with demonstrated experience in expanding retail coverage for FMCG products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily route sales using a tricycle, ensuring efficient delivery and outstanding customer service.
  • Generate sales by promoting products to existing and newly recruited retail outlets.
  • Identify and onboard new points of sale to increase market penetration.
  • Record all transactions and issue receipts or invoices using a mobile sales application.
  • Ensure product visibility and proper merchandising at every outlet.
  • Gather and report market insights including pricing trends, competitor activities, and stock availability.
  • Maintain accurate daily route plans and performance reports to support accountability.
  • Uphold the organization’s values and represent the business professionally in all interactions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of FMCG sales experience within the Kampala retail market.
  • Valid B1 driving permit for tricycle operation is an added advantage
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and acquiring new customers
  • Fluency in English and Luganda.
  • Strong digital skills, especially in the use of mobile applications for sales and reporting.
