The Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial health of the company. He/she
will oversee budgeting, reporting, auditing, and compliance functions. The ideal candidate
will have a strong understanding of insurance brokerage financial operations, regulatory
frameworks, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
- Ensure compliance with URA, IRA, and other financial regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and guide the finance and accounting team.
- Oversee cash flow, expenditure, and financial planning.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Advise management on strategic financial decisions.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and systems.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in a finance role, preferably in the insurance or
financial services sector.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of tax laws and financial regulations in Uganda.
Contract Terms
This is a full-time position with a 6 month probation period. The role is based in Uganda
with a competitive remuneration package aligned to industry standards. Upon successful
probation, the candidate will be confirmed into the permanent role.
