JOB DETAILS:
Job Location: Isingiro Field Office
Reporting To: Head of Finance & Administration

Job Purpose:
The Finance Officer will oversee bookkeeping, budgets, statutory compliance, and reporting to ensure efficient financial management at the field office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and appropriate accounting systems.
• Manage petty cash and prepare financial reconciliations.
• Calculate and verify field payments and ensure accurate documentation.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and submit statutory accounts.
• Supervise procurement processes and ensure financial compliance.
• Build capacity for staff in financial reporting and resource mobilization.
• Participate in audits and ensure adherence to financial policies.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Education:
o A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance or Business Administration (Accounting).
o Professional certification such as CPA Level 3 is required.
• Experience:
o At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Skills:
o Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
o Strong mathematical, reporting, and data entry management skills.
o Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality.
o Time-management and deadline-oriented mindset.
