Overview

Our mission is to enable upward social mobility for people in diverse communities around the world by providing entrepreneurs who are excluded from traditional banking systems, access to credit. By combining asset financing, fintech, AI-based underwriting, and proprietary car portals, we enable these local entrepreneurs (motorcycle taxi riders, Uber/Bolt drivers, and small business owners) to find and purchase their own vehicles.

We are looking for a Financial Controller to help achieve the financial efficiency of our Uganda office.

NB: Relocation to Kampala, Uganda, is required.

What you will need:

  • Higher education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Business savviness, interest in business development & management
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial software and databases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-orientation with a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in English
  • Can-do attitude and ownership mindset

Will be considered as an advantage:

  • Previous experience in the fields of finance, business administration, project management, and similar.

What you will do:

  • Support strategic initiatives for cost efficiency gains through data-driven analysis and financial insights
  • Manage and develop a procurement system based on the global best practices
  • Maintain relationships with banking and other financial partners
  • Develop and implement effective internal controls to ensure cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with various departments and management to gather information and improve financial accuracy
  • Participate in monthly management reporting and budgeting process
