The Floorman will be responsible for manual labor and general maintenance on the rig floor.
This role will involve handling drilling tools and equipment, supporting drilling operations, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle drill pipe and other tubulars on the rig floor during tripping operations.
• Operate and maintain rig tools such as tongs, elevators, and slips.
• Assist with connecting and disconnecting drill pipe and casing.
• Clean and maintain rig equipment and the rig floor to ensure safe working conditions.
• Assist Derrickman with mud system maintenance and mixing chemicals when needed.
• Follow instructions from the Driller and other senior crew members.
• Participate in rig-up and rig-down operations.
• Comply with all safety regulations and use proper PPE at all times.
• Report equipment faults, safety concerns, or hazards to supervisors.
• Take part in safety drills, training sessions, and toolbox talks.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Previous experience in an oilfield environment in a similar position.
• Team player with a strong commitment to safety and hard work.
