Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of the engagement work plan that considers RENU Strategies, objectives and risk that are relevant to the engagement.
• Support preparation of documentation templates to be used during the engagement activities.
• Execution of the financial and operational audit assignments indicated in the audit plan.
• Perform compliance audits across all departments of the organization and report on the findings accordingly.
• Submit audit reports to the head of Internal Audit and Risk Management.
• Prepare internal audit reports which present audit findings in a clear, concise manner.
• Examination of all monthly staff accountabilities and petty cash transactions.
• Periodic review and evaluation of the RENU internal controls.
• Monitor the operation of identified controls and recommendations on an ongoing basis.
• Recommend improvements to systems and controls based on observations and best practice.
• Support the assessment of accuracy of accounting records for RENU projects.
• Submit analytical report containing the necessary analysis, findings, and recommendations.
• Any other assignment as will be specified from time to time.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance from a RENU member university.
• At least CGPA 4.0.
• Graduated in 2023 or 2025 with certified copies of university transcripts.
• UACE and UCE passlips.
• Minimum experience of one year.
• Knowledge of SAP systems will be an added advantage.
• Level 1 CPA or ACCA will be an added advantage.
