The Graduate Trainee Statistician will join the Statistics Unit in the Research Department, supporting database design, data management, analysis, mathematical modelling, and interpretation of clinical or research data. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary experts and national/subnational partners to produce actionable health evidence for informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Design and apply mathematical and statistical methods to analyse clinical and health research data.
Contribute to study protocols, indicator development, analysis plans, and data collection tool design.
Perform robust, reproducible analyses using R, Python, or other analytical software.
Create clear visualizations and interpret results for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Prepare technical reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
Support REDCap database management, trainings, QA/QC activities, and timely data queries for monthly site reports.
Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Ensure data quality, ethical standards, and confidentiality in all work.
Academic Qualifications
Recent graduate (within 1 Year) or Awaiting graduation with Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics• GPA of 4.0 and above from a chartered university.
