Background information about the job or company (e.g., role context, company overview)

SeaOwl Energy Services is seeking to recruit four (4) HSE Officers OPS for a site-based position. This role reports to the HSE Supervisor within the Upstream Projects Department.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Comply with the training established in the Safe Pass for the position level.
  • Ensure the proper implementation of the Permit to work System on-site and audit System according to the HSE Plan.
  • Provide HSE inductions and training on-site according to the established training matrix.
  • Prepare and support the HSE Superintendent in updating the site's HSE document registry.
  • Maintain and ensure the implementation of the SIGMA (MAESTRO Integrated Management System).
  • Track anomalies, suggestions for improvement, and reported incidents, and generate detailed reports.
  • Promote HSE culture on-site, motivate staff to practice safe behavior, and organize information campaigns.
  • Create, maintain, and ensure the anomaly database is updated, as well as ensure their closure.
  • Collaborate in the creation of HSE dossiers for all sites and audit them monthly.
  • Prepare reports and trend charts for HSE KPIs.
  • Promote compliance with the Safety, Health, and Environment objectives established for the site.
  • Supervise and maintain the on-site inventory of personal protective equipment.
  • Participate in the organization and development of emergency drills.
  • Ensure the operation and availability of fire systems.
  • Advise plant personnel and contractors on HSE issues.
  • Understand the significant environmental aspects and impacts of site activities and ensure the proper functioning of all available resources for environmental emergencies.
  • Assist with the implementation of the ISO 14001 standard at the Site.
  • Participate in the preparation and development of site HSE Committees.
  • Support the updating of HSE documentation.
  • Audit HSE-related facilities and procedures.
  • Participate in near miss, incidents and accident investigations.
  • Schedule HSE-related training and inductions following the training matrix and actively participate in weekly safety meetings.
  • Conduct a handover of activities at the end of the rotation.
  • Comply with current standards and procedures related to Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, and Social Responsibility.
  • Conduct HSE and technical training according to the site schedule, established based on the Reference Framework.
  • Validation of habitat and associated Hot work naked flame.
  • Promotion of HSE tools on site (Anomaly cards, Stop Cards, Safety Green Light, Golden rules, Lifesaving checks, PTW Audits).
  • Confined space equipment test and preparation.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Diploma of Higher Education or BTCE. Education on operational safety or production operations

Experience needed

  • 7 years in similar position
  • Good technical skills in O&G.
  • Good knowledge of TotalEnergies HSE Safety Rules, SIMOPS, PTW System, or equivalent in Oil & Gas industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure and stressful conditions.
  • Ability to share training (good communicator) and Natural Authority.
  • Adaptability and ability to work in an international environment.
  • Good communication skills. Clear and concise reporting both verbal and written.
