Background
Exquisite Solution Limited is seeking an HSE Officer for our client in the oil and gas sector. The role involves implementing HSE procedures, conducting inspections, assisting with incident investigations, and collaborating with operations teams to mitigate risks and maintain a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and enforcing HSE policies, procedures, and regulations at operational sites.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, identify hazards, and monitor PPE compliance.
- Support incident and near-miss investigations, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training for field personnel.
- Maintain and update safety records, including inspections, permits, risk assessments, and training logs.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills and safety equipment checks.
- Review and assist with Job Safety Analyses (JSA), permit-to-work documentation, and other safety procedures.
- Collaborate with operations and field teams to promote a safe working environment and safe practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HSE supervision within the oil and gas sector.
- Certification in First Aid, Fire Safety, or HSE Management (NEBOSH/IOSH) preferred.
- Knowledge of HSE management systems, safety audits, and incident investigation procedures.
- Familiarity with international HSE standards (e.g., ISO 45001) is desirable.
- Proficiency with HSE reporting tools or safety management software is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and promote safe practices.
