Context & Environment

Tilenga and Kingfisher oilfields developments are the Upstream component of the Lake Albert project, Uganda’s first oil development. Active relationship with the authorities (PAU), partners and internal stakeholders and delivery partners. Management of more than 400 wells during the production phase of the project

Activities

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Company Digital Analytics services- act as mentor and support the digital, analytics & visualization
  • Ensure that the tools are developed as Company compliance framework.
  • Ensure active participation in Citizen data sciences and other local initiatives to promote digital across the Affiliate.
  • Spot opportunities across the business to implement the analytics & visualization to support the business workflows
  • Develop external capabilities in Digital working with the C&P and national content teams.
  • Liaise with Company Digital Factory for complicated use cases.
  • Connect with external and within the company to understand the latest trends and how it can be applied across the business.
  • Able to work with the business stakeholders for digital opportunity identification & delivery.
  • Interface with local & global IT for the delivery of the IT services required.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum BSc Hons Degree in data/technology disciplines in the industrial context
  • At least 5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, a significant Data & Digital including Geospatial (minimum 10 years) and proven experience in managing digital delivery in cloud framework (Azure preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience working in fast pace evolving and a strong ability to work in a cross functional environment, excellent communication skills.
