Background
Vashi Impact Group (VIG) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) to join our Global Programmes Team. This senior leadership role will oversee high-quality monitoring, evaluation, and research initiatives across international programmes. The position reports directly to the Executive Director and plays a critical role in delivering rigorous, feminist, and intersectional evaluation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead MEL strategy and develop complex evaluation matrices
- Design and manage qualitative & quantitative research tools
- Oversee fieldwork, data collection, and enumerator training
- Analyse data using SPSS, STATA, NVIVO, KOBO, ODK, SurveyCTO or similar
- Produce high-standard evaluation and inception reports
- Present findings to international donors and clients
- Mentor and support Evaluation Assistants
- Ensure adherence to feminist and “do no harm” principles
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in International Development, Research Methods, or related field (PhD desirable)
- 15+ years of research/evaluation experience
- Strong leadership, analytical, and writing skills
- Experience with NGOs or international development consultancies
- Excellent English communication skills
