JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Assistant (HRA) will support the day-to-day HR operations for assigned accounts, focusing on recruitment, and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruitment:
o Lead the full cycle of recruitment for assigned positions, from initial job requisition to onboarding by posting job openings, reviewing applications, and coordinating interviews.
o Provide timely feedback to candidates throughout the recruitment process.
o Generate weekly recruitment performance reports, outlining key metrics and updates on open positions.
o Contribute to client acquisition strategies while also fostering relationships with existing clients for retention.
o Continuously seek ways to improve the client and candidate experience to build brand loyalty.
o Draft and develop competitive quotes and proposals tailored to client needs.
• HR consulting:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries.
o Participate in negotiations related to employment terms, and staff benefits, and prepare and issue letters of appointment to new hires.
o Periodically review and update the staff orientation materials and program.
o Address staff welfare concerns, manage employee issues, and support the performance management process to enhance productivity.
o Maintain proper records for disciplinaries.
o Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, including team-building activities, recognition programs, etc.
o Monitor the implementation of HR plans and programs.
o Handle and resolve all payroll queries.
o Support the performance appraisal process by guiding managers and employees in setting objectives, documenting progress, and providing constructive feedback.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contracts, attendance, leave balances, and performance evaluations.
o Collaborate with the management team to ensure a safe, compliant and healthy work environment.
• HR Reporting:
o Prepare regular HR reports that provide key insights into recruitment activities.
o Prepare and submit HR analytics and reports of assigned accounts to support management decision-making.
o Analyze data to offer recommendations and support management decision-making.
• Performs any other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• Education: Diploma or degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in HR Consulting.
Skills:
• Strong understanding of Ugandan labor laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
