Job Summary

The HR Manager will lead all human resource functions, ensuring the company attracts, develops, and retains a high-performing workforce to support growth in manufacturing, distribution, and sales operations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years HR experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of Ugandan labor laws
  • Experience managing large field teams is a big advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Support the recruitment for sales teams, factory workers, and office staff
  • Work hand-in-hand with hiring the hiring manager to develop hiring plans aligned with expansion into new markets
  • Manage employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Handle disciplinary processes and conflict resolution
  • Promote a performance-driven and ethical work culture
  • Design and implement KPIs across departments (especially sales teams)
  • Support managers in performance reviews and improvement plans
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs
  • Develop onboarding programs for new hires, especially field staff
  • Ensure competitive and fair salary structures
  • Oversee payroll, incentives (especially sales commissions), and benefits
  • Ensure compliance with Ugandan labor laws
  • Maintain employee records and HR systems
  • Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years HR experience, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of Ugandan labor laws
