Description
St Peters Naalya is hiring an IT Support Officer to provide technical support and maintenance of the school’s ICT systems, ensuring reliable operation of hardware, software, network infrastructure, learning management systems, graphics system and digital education platforms to support academic and administrative functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Technical Support – Deliver first line IT support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain ICT equipment and digital learning tools.
- Manage Network & Systems – Maintain LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, system updates, and data backups.
- Support ICT in Education – Ensure computer labs, e-learning platforms, and digital examinations run smoothly.
- Ensure Data Security – Manage user accounts, enforce cybersecurity measures, and uphold data protection standards.
- Oversee ICT Assets & Reporting – Maintain asset records, track equipment, document support activities, and prepare ICT reports.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routers, switches, wireless networks).
- Experience with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic server management.
- Familiarity with school management systems or learning management systems is an added advantage
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in IT support, preferably in an educational institution.
